Indian Movies are definitely improving ... Although Indian movies always had a very strong Script most often than not, they were always found to be wanting in the Graphics and Stunts department.

Now I would say that this movie has written off all this these criticism ... The initial Graphic sequence when Vikram first accesses the website www.anniyan.com was very good. We shouldn't ofcourse compare these with Hollywood movies, but this is a very big leap. This is welcome change to the Indian fans who are used to the Deity oriented Graphics.

Stunts ... Gets a very big "WOW' from me ... Just Superb ... No more rope-lifting the Hero. Though the stunt fancied some "Super-Man" stuff, it was great experience to watch the Stunt.
My persoanal favorite part was when Vikram leg locks with the "Vo Dao" - Master, he reverse twists gives a kick to the head of the Master ...

Harris Jeyaraj, as always given has given good hip-shaking tunes ... "Kadhal Yaanai Varukiraaan REMO" is my favorite

The Summer is over here at Pune and it is raining a lot ... Heard that this is the best season to go outing ... We went to Lonavla ... But it failed to impressed anyone ... We will surely plan more such trips soon ...

Appu Ghar

This weekend we went to a nearby theme park called Appu Ghar. We had a nice time with the 'Dashing Car'. Even we convinced Vaishu for a ride and in the end she did enjoy it.

Para Sailing

This was one hell of an adventure we had @ Mahabaleshwar ...

We were harnessed to the Parachute and a Jeep pulled us along with the Chute.

In a few seconds we were lifted to a height of about 100-150 feet

If you guys have a chance to do it, go for it ... In the air, on your own is one hell of an experience, you surely got to have

PeopleSoft goes down ...

Its sometime now, after Oracle Corporation has officially taken over PeopleSoft.
PeopleSoft being the robust technology it was, was one of the best ERPs around. It's HRMS module was considered the best among the other ERPs.

Reason behind the acquiring may be
1. Eliminating one of the players in the ERP industry.
2. Taking the best of PeopleSoft and creating a new suite, like the proposed one Oracle E-Business Suite.

Though, Oracle have promised the existing clients that they will coninue the support for another 10 years, we have wait to know whether the customers accept this.

Customers who can afford a migration to a new ERP will either go for SAP or Oracle
Customers who cannot afford a migration/upgrade will stay with their current version of PeopleSoft.
There may be very little percentage who will upgrade to PeopleSoft version 9.

Now if this happening at the market level, the PeopleSoft practice in my company has been merged with the Oracle Practice. We will continue working with the PeopleSoft projects, though, dont know till how long ...

Hindi and Me

Poor are we the people in TamilNadu, which I guess is the only state which doenst encourage the use of our National Language, 'Hindi'.

A tamilian would certainly struggle in the Central & Northern India where Hindi is the game and even knowing English would do very little good.

As expected, I was to struggle when i shifted to my new company based on Pune. But wait a minute, I was not the Average Tamilian(one who doesn't know Hindi ... I mean). Somewhere from deep within i was familiar with this language. Atlease I could understand this language well, that means it wont be a struggle after all.

Thanks to Doordharshan, those where the days when the modern Cable channels were a distant dream. And every Saturday/Sunday featured a classic Hindi Film. I guess I have link my familiarity with this language to these weekend starrers.

To spice it up, here is a list of Hindi words we (Me, Ramanathan & Venu) use commonly.

The read (The Bourne Identity) is very good so far.

So far:
Jason C Bourne, wounded by bullets almost to death, has been thrown out of a ship. He is found by some fishermen and taken to a Doctor in a small Island.

He is treated to physical cure, but he goes into Amnesia. He remembers very little things about himself. He goes to Zurich where there are attempts to kill him.

Now he is on his way to Paris.

The Born 'Bourne'

So I have started with 'The Bourne Identity' already. And i have next book 'The Bourne Supremacy' on hand too.

I just completed reading this novel by Michael Crichton. Actually started reading this after recommendation by Gokul.

It's a fiction based on Nanorobots gaining artifiicial intelligence, evolving and adapting.

I completed it in a record time of 1 day.
